Where did Derek Jeter play Little League baseball? ›

It was a baseball family, and Jeter's younger sister Sharlee (born c. 1979) was a softball star in high school. The Jeters lived in New Jersey until Derek was four, at which point they moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. At age five, Jeter began playing little league baseball.

In 1987, Ken “The Kid” Griffey Jr. truly was a kid: Just 17 years old, he was beginning his pro baseball career with the Bellingham (Washington) Mariners of the Northwest League.

George Herman Ruth Jr. (1895-1948), also known as Babe Ruth, remains the greatest baseball player in the history of the sport. He played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Boston Braves in a career spanning from 1914 to 1935. Ruth may be best known for his prodigious power.

Among the states, California holds the record for most titles (8) and most U.S. titles (16), while Florida has appeared in a total of 23 world series' and 8 championship games but has not yet won a title.

Admission onto the Little League International Complex is FREE and there is no cost for Little League Baseball® World Series tickets.

To date, 612 former Williamsport professional baseball players have gone on to appear in the Major Leagues - because it really does All Begin In Billtown!

Practices and games are held at Jackie Robinson Park. Practices are held one afternoon/evening a week with games on Saturdays and Sundays.
